Thank you for inquiring about our grooming services.
We are taking on a limited number of new customers so we’d like to ensure we are the right fit for you and your pet.
Our main priority is the health and well-being of the pets in our care and our staff. Grooming can be a stressful situation for both groomer and pet.
Therefore, we don't overbook, we rarely overlap appointments, we minimize kenneling time and try to keep your pet with the same groomer to keep them calm and comfortable. Our groomers meet with both dog and owner during check in to determine if there have been any health or behavioral issues since last appointment and at check out to give you a brief overview of what happened during grooming and to ensure you are satisfied.
Our service fees average around $40-$60 per hour. Until we meet your dog, we cannot give you a time estimate. Behavior, condition of coat, size and breed all factor into time spent. We won't know for sure until after the first grooming. It is our experience that pets who come in on a regular basis and receive regular brushing require less grooming time.
Our experience is that puppies who are positively trained and are regularly groomed, have a better long-term grooming experience. Therefore, we will not guarantee a "full" groom for puppies. We will book puppies based on a full groom (approximately 2-3 hours), but sometimes puppies get too overactive, wiggly and stressed having to stand on the table for a long time. We always do at least a full bath, brush out, blow dry and trim the face, sanitary area and feet (including paws and nail trim). If they are able to handle the rest, we continue and hopefully finish a full groom.
If you bring in your dog matted, we will do everything possible to dematt in a manner that is safe and pain-free for your dog. If the matts are behind the ears, under the armpits and/or the sanitary area, we will spot shave. If matts are tight, close to the skin and/or pelted and cannot be brushed out without causing pain or harm to your dog, we will shave your dog. If your dog is matted, please let us know when you schedule the appointment so we can accommodate the extra time it will take.
Due to the fact we don't overbook appointments, we are an extremely busy salon and our groomers are compensated based on the service fee, we ask our customers to arrive on-time, pick up their pets in a timely manner and schedule multiple future appointments. We impose a $20-$25 late fee after 15 minutes and we charge the full service fee for any cancellations less than 24 hours unless there is an extenuating circumstance. All services are also assessed a 5% employee benefit fee that goes directly to paying for health insurance and paid time off.
Our staff truly enjoy and love animals and that is why they chose this career. We strive to develop positive and mutually respectful relationships with our customers.
We hope you understand and agree with our philosophy.
